Evaluation Process & Additional Criteria:
The CMC-BC Committee values applicants who embody the spirit of a “Musical Ambassador”—individuals who balance artistic excellence with a genuine commitment to service. Beyond performance in the 2026 Auditions, the committee will look for clear evidence of proactive leadership and meaningful engagement within the CMC-BC community.

We particularly value Artistic Stewardship, recognizing candidates who demonstrate resourcefulness in supporting the long-term sustainability of the arts. This may include involvement in advocacy, community outreach, or modest fundraising initiatives—such as securing local sponsorships, organizing benefit performances, or supporting CMC-BC campaigns—to help create opportunities for the next generation of musicians.

Each application will be holistically reviewed, taking into account:

  • Depth and impact of community contributions
  • Initiative in resource development and support of the arts
  • Personal character as reflected in reference letters
  • Demonstrated commitment to strengthening the CMC-BC community
